I have a HP Officejet 6500 709e and use Windows 7 64 bit. The wireless printer works fine, but I cannot scan. All worked well until one day I had problems printing and scanning and received a message that my printer was not able to connect due to printer/driver issues. My wireless connection was fine---I just couldn't get the printer/scanner to function. I ended up uninstalling the printer and then reinstalling it. This reactivated the printer, but did not correct the scanning problem. In the process, the solution center icon disappeared from my desktop. Any ideas on how I can get the scanner function reactivated and get the solution center icon back on the desktop? Thank you.
