I have two different printers, HP Officejet 4622 and HP Photosmart 7960. I just purchased a new computer (Dell) that came with Windows 8.1 and I'm having a hard time setting up either of my printers. My computer recognized the Photosmart, but everytime I try to print something I get this error message: "A StartDocPrinter call was not issued". The computer refuses to acknowledge the 4622 (shuned ex-lover? lol) whether I use a USB cord or the wireless option. I've looked online but most forum posts are from 2009... Hopefully someone can help me out with this. I've tried downloading drivers from the HP website, which leads me to another problem. The computer shows me hitting the "Open", "Save" or "Cancel" buttons but they don't work. I'm not sure if the link is no longer valid, or what, but I'm feeling out of options here. Tempted to buy Windows 7 and try again!
