Recently, I received a critical update for windows 7 for printers that are on a network. even though my printer is not on a network, I installed the update anyway since it was critical. so once the update installed, I had to restart my PC. once I did, my HP solution center was not working; 2 dialog boxes kept popping up, saying "the path (for the program) cannot be found", etc. so I uninstalled the solution center program. I went to the HP site to search for the program for my printer model (HP PSC 1507 All-In-One) to re-install it (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=442919#N443%29.). I downloaded it and then attempted to install it, but an error message appeared saying "Runtime Error! This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. contact the application's support team for more information". I had also attempted to download and install the HP printer install wizard. but got the same error message. from where, or how, can I install the solution center program again, and without getting the same error message(s)? right now, I can still use my printer, but I won't be able to know what the ink level is without this program. Note: the warranty has expired for HP support assistant (1 year support. I bought my PC in 2012).
