Hi,
I have a problem while installing my HP Photosmart 5510 series printer. Since my PC has no wireless capability of its own, I have bought an adapter and connected to my homegroup with printer sharing enabled. I tried to install the printer via 'Devices and Printers' and then 'Add New Device' and successfully found it. I clicked install and it said I was missing the drivers. So I downloaded the latest drivers and tried to install them but it comes up with this error. I have tried 'Run as Administrator' but to no avail:
Installation Error
Call to DriverPackageInstall returned error 5 for package: 'F:\Program Files\HP\HP Photosmart 5510 series\DriverStore\Pipeline\hpvpl09.inf': A caller of DriverPackageInstall must be a member of the Administrators group to install a driver package.
I am the only user of the PC, and am definately an Administrator, so I have no idea what is going on. Any help would be apprectiated.
NOTE: I have troubleshooted it, it gave me an MSI file which I ran, that gave me a link: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=uk&lc=en&jumpid=re_r3990_eSupport/BlackMagic&softwareitem=mp-122330-1 but the setup simply downloaded the drivers that I had just tried to install, ending with the same error. Please help.
