My printer (Officejet Pro 6978) started smearing print jobs so then I did "Clean Smear" and when that didn't word, then I did "Clean Printhead". Color will print but not black ink--all ink is pretty full, and are brand name. I've tried having my print jobs print via color, but it still spits out blank pages.
I've unplugged the power cord from the printer AND from the wall outlet for more than 60 seconds, let it warm up and try again. with no luck. I've also tried ding the Clean Printhead after the unplug/plug back in, and again it's only printing the color blocks, no text and no black ink. I don't know what else to do. This printer is less than 2 years old, it's not beat up and I don't do excessive printing either. Please help.
