I have a Hp Photosmart C8180 the original software & drivers were for windows vista. Newer laptops OS has Windows 8. So I ordered (and payed for) from the Hp support site a CD with Software and Drivers. Upon completing my order it stated I would receive an email no email was ever sent. I found this concerning. But the software did arrive. I have concerns about it being legitimate. The Address says 4600 Commerce Crossings. Shouldn't it have Dr. Or Drive after Crossings.
The CD says On the left side of the disc label.

b)Type d:\Setup and click OK (where "d" is your CD drive letter)

All supported windows operating systems? Then it says Version 23.1.0 Windows 7. SO how is that all windows operating systems? It has the Hp logo and invent under it. Under that it says HP Photosmart C7200 series

The most alarming thing was upon trying to install the software it lists the Publisher as Unknown. The original disc that came with the printer says its publisher is Hewlett Packard. But the one I ordered form Hp support website lists the publisher as Unknown. The original disc that came with the printer has more burned to it. The new disc that is supposed to have Software & Windows 7 Drivers has only about 1/3 of the disc burned.

I don't have an internet access for this laptop that I trust . That aside I like having an Original source disc. It seems to me I should have gotten the email notification . And it should show the Publisher as Hewlett Packard not as Unknown.
