I recently shipped my Photosmart C3180 from the Netherlands to Australia and bought new cartridges yesterday. Apparently the regionalization of my device results in incompatibility with cartridges (92 and 93 - error message 'incompatible cartridges').
I spoke to HP Support Australia today. First line support was very helpful but could not solve the issue and after spending 2 hours with first line support, he wanted to put me through to 2nd line support. However they apparently instructed him to tell me to return the cartridges and buy a new device!
I decided to contact HP support the Netherlands, since I bought the printer there. However they informed me there is nothing they can do. It needs to be done in Australia. I am getting very frustrated now.
I cannot print a test page, because we were not allowed to ship the cartridges. I read on different fora and on HPs website (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&docname=c02558798) that more people had the same issue and that HP can solve this. However the support given until now is completely the opposite. I hope that somebody who experienced the same issue here in Australia and can help me solve it.
