I have many drivers suggested on these posts. A few don't work at all. Others (PCL6) print error messages. The ones that do print still don't allow me to use beyond 600dpi on this 1200dpi capable printer.
Does anyone know when or if HP is planning to release UPDs for PCL6 and PS that support the LaserJet 2100 series printers?
Or does anyone have a link to a driver that will?
You may include severall links if you need to. I don't know of any printers similar to mine that I can try thier drivers. I'm simply trying the drivers many of the posts suggest and then guesing at others.
I'm sure some of the new Laserjet printers released for Win 8.1 have a least the functions mine has and to have features listed in the software that my printer doesn't support doesn't bother me other than they fallsly lead me to believe my pinter may have the same features (like more than 3 paper trays. I see this one all the time).
I'm hoping one of these printers has PCL and/or PS drivers that support the subset of features my printer has and are smart enough to ignore that fact that my printer doesn't support them and go ahead and allow me to print using the driver.
Any suggestions would be helpful. I would like to stop using up my ink jet cartridges so fast by using my Laserjet at the highest resolution it is capable of.
