Hello
I am trying to reinstall my Deskjet 3512 after reinstalling Vista Home. It worked with no issues for the past year prior to reinstalling Windows Vista from factory installed hidden partition. I installed all required and recommended updates to Vista and then installed the most current version of the HP printer software. I've printed the test report from the printer and everything is noted as "Pass." Within Windows I see the printer as a "(network)" printer from Control Panel -> Printer. It has a green check mark as default printer.
When I print, the job hangs in the queue. I try to cancel it and it remains. Only after a reboot does the job disappear from the printer queue.
I followed the first step from the HP support forum that suggested running HP Print and Scan Doctor. It installed v 4.2 successfully on my PC. However, when I run it, it also hangs during the Searching phase. I have closed the application and rebooted. When I rerun it, it hangs at the exact same spot in the Searching phase.
Can someone please help?
