I have been unable to download the driver for my Photosmart Pro B9180 onto my new HP Envy even though both using the dirver and set up wizard from the HP site both recognize the printer and its usb connection. First the wizard detected a problem with the driver software and told me to install the full HP sofware for the selected printer which I tried to do. Then the error: "The path C:\Pr4.00gram Files (x86)\HP\ contains an invalid character" stopped the process. I have an AMD processor and noted there was a patch for Windows 7 with AMD. I am running 8.1. I connected a HP 2420 with no problem.
