I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1. After the upgrade, the HP solution Center didn't recognize ink levels and I wasn't able to fax along with a few other minor issues. I decided to install the latest version of the drivers and Solution Center from the website. After downloading the software, it extracted the software but the installer just hung after that and did nothing else. I tried several times but nothing happened. I attempted to uninstall all HP software from the computer and I was successfull in doing it via the Prgrams and Features area of Windows. There are no references to HP in the list. I attempoted to install the software again but again it hangs. Now it hangs and I don't have even the scaled down Solution Center because I uninstalled it. Any suggestions on how to get the software package to continue the install after the extraction?
