Hello, I have used my Officejet J4680 for 4 years on my laptop with Vista. After getting a new computer with Windows 8, I cannot figure out how to scan wirelessly. Printing wirelessly is not a problem, so it doesn't appear to be a wireless issue. When I select "Scan" on the printer, it says "Scan to", but there are no options. It says "No scan options, refer to device documentation to troubleshoot."
With my old laptop, I simply used "HP Document Manager" but I can't figure out how to get that on my new computer. I tried inserting the disk that came with the printer but I'm guessing it doesn't recognize Windows 8. I tried downloading "Print and Scan Doctor" but I get an error messaging stating that I need to do a full install. Problem is the full install download isn't working either - I keep getting a message saying "The system cannot find the file specified". I tried unplugging the printer (as another thread suggested) before doing the full download, to no avail.
I'm not extremely tech savvy, but I can follow clear directions. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
