Any microsoft office program can select A3 from list of paper options. In printer preferences and set up can select A3. All set to same press print. Prints A4 only and resets default to A4

Can not Reset Embedded Web Server for HP Officejet Pro 8740
I have read alot of forums about trying to reset the admin password for the Embedded Web Server. Nothing I read or watched has worked.
What I saw most, was that someone from HP would provide information by way of email to some on the forum, on how to reset everything.
I am not sure what ever to provide. I am hoping I will receive some help.

Wireless printer won't print
My wireless printer will not work. The correct printer shows in the devices and printers. However in the HP Network Configuration Page under number of networks discovered shows an old printer. How do I corrrect this!

printer setup on new computer 9pin vs. USB
Irecently purchased a new computer (Dell) and connected my HP Photosmart 7520 all-in-one printer. The printer is 9 pin. I can print from my computer, but I can not scan from my printer to my computer. My only connection choices are USB and wireless, which are not options. Is there something I can do?

Deskjet 2540 print & re-install with HP Smart
About 10 days ago, my Deskjet 2540 printer was not printingfirst thing morning, after left sleeping all night. Linked wirelessly to a Samsung RV520 laptop, it responded neither to USB or wireless signals, and over the next week as I experimented, I noted some changes to its software.
As long as I could reach the printer maintenance window, a test page printed fine, but nothing from apps like MS Word would.
Over this period, Print & Scan Doctor has found no faults, the desktop printer icon has gone, software and driver have been uninstalled, downloaded fresh and re-installed twice, HP Smart has appeared but I don't recall installing it. The printer's Wifi lamp blinked continually for the week.
Today, unplugging and unpowering laptop and printer for a few minutes, for about the tenth time, I find the printer working wireless and USB. Operation is normal, but my familiar controls are gone. The user interface is different, access to scan and maintenance is through HP Smart, the User Guide only covers Windows 8 and earlier.
I'll cope, but am I missing some documentation?

Printer Always Offline
I have had issues with my printer always being offline. I have the HP Office Jet Pro 6960. I have had this issue in the past and have read through other forums offering support and ideas to fix the issue. The only one I have had success with is uninstalling and reinstalling the printer. I am tired of having to go through such a lengthy process anytime I want to print a piece of paper. I had to do this process about 1-2 weeks ago and am back to having the same issue now. What other strategies can I use to resolve this issue and be able to print regularly again without so many problems!? I am a teacher and also hold exercise classes so being able to print close to a daily basis is really important at this time. I NEED this to work WITHOUT having to uninstall and reinstall.

Scanner is not working in HP Officejet 5610 All-in-one
Product Name: Printer HP Officejet 5610 All-in-one
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)
Scanner is not working in HP Officejet 5610 All-in-one .
Printer is working as printer
Copy function standalone - is working.
The printer is connected as a local printer to PC through USB cable.
After changing computers from WinXp to Win 7 Professional and reinstalling printer software the printer is working OK but the scanner is not working. I tried few times to uninstall and reinstall software but with not success.
Here is what happened:
When I press I "Scan" button on the printer the printer is saying: "No scan Options".
After searching the Web I installed HP Print and Scanner Doctor 5.1, but still it did not help me.
I tried:
Start-Fax-Windows Fax and Scan- and got this message: Windows Fax and Scan cannot run as it cannot access your documents folder.
So how I can get my scanner working?

OJ6950 will not print
Help, I have tried everything that I have found on this forum. I have Windows 7-64 on a desktop with a OJ6950 that will not print. The print job appears in the queue, then disappears from the queue but nothing prints. I have tried: 1) uninstalling the driver; 2) performed Windows Update; 3) Downloaded and installed current drivers from HP website, with no printing; 5) Ran HP Print and Scan Dr, and no test print, but it did print the internal test page; 6) tried turning off the firewall; 7) changed the security settings so that all users had full printer management access; 8) All of this has been done with the printer connected with USB cable, and then again separately as a wireless printer; 9) Installed and ran the HP Support Assistant with no luck; 10) Ran HP Print and Scan Dr again, and same results as previously. This is very frustrating.

Can someone help me please? After installing software driver on my mac, os 10.11. I am unable to install it.
The message i am getting is "unable to find driver".

error msg re cartridge
i keep getting error msg stating ink cartridges problem and to ensure cartridge correctly installed,msg refers to black ink cart have done so and even replaced ink
when i try print get same msg so i remove and replace cartridge.
this allows me to print off single item then procedure starts all over again
any ideas pls

HP Officejet 8620 Incompatible ink cartridges
Getting error: Incompatible Ink cartridges when I install them.
The cartidges that did work were: CN052A. The new ones that don't work are CN050AN.
- Tried restoring to factory.
- Firmware is up to date
Still no luck.
Support, please help.

HP LaserJet 1320 PCL5 generic driver don't support 1200x1200 resolution print?
Here is the issue.
After I've upgraded to windows 7, I cannot print in 1200x1200 dpi.
HP Laserjet 1320 can actually print in 1200x1200 resolution but its new driver for Windows 7, don't allow it as shown below:

Initial driver CD shipped with the product had no issue with this and was working well with windows XP. But for whaterver reason, HP's engineer's decided to switch to a generic driver for Windows 7. This new driver (as shown below) don't support 1200x1200 printing.

Error Connecting Printer to Wireless system
Hi,
I have been trying to connect my printer with my wireless network and use it with my laptop on the same network. Both are individually connected, but the official HP software cannot seem to connect them together. I keep getting this error. It is really annoying to see this again and again. I have tried everything. Please help!

won't update firmware - hp LaserJet MFP m425dn
I'm trying to update the firmware of the HP LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M425dn, from a networked Windows 7 PC, which has the latest HP drivers installed, and can to print to and scan from the printer. The printer/scanner/fax are all working fine...
The latest driver update I've downloaded is...
I've switched off/on the printer
Run the firmware update on the PC
Selected the M425dn printer... either the fax driver or PCL6 driver (tried both)
And sent the firmware update
The printer control panel temporarily changes to say "HP - printing document" for around 4 seconds, then reverts back to the standard menu screen.
The progress bar of the firmware update showing on the the Win7 PC completes after around 60 seconds, with a yellow smiley.
But when you check the firmware version installed on the M425dn printer, it still shows the original firmware datecode: 20130415.
From the firmware installation instructons, it seems to suggest the printer control panel should show an 'updating' screen during the update. I've tried selecting the other fax driver in the firmware update, with no success.
FYI... we suspect this printer could have been affected by a virus... one morning we came in to find it had various games installed within the menu? ...firmware version is obviously old.
Any advice really appreciated...

wireless connection to HP 6100 printer
Have new internet service. Want to connect my printer wirelessly. Uninstalled old HP driver. Installed new drivers for this printer.
Installed the printer first using USB cable as requested.
Went to PROGRAMS/HP/OFFICEJET 6100/PRINTER SETUP AND SOFTWARE but do not find an option to "CONVERT USB CONNECTED PRINTER TO WIRELESS.
What am I missing??
