My HP Smart app has mysteriously stopped working on my MacBook Air with Catalina OS. The app will launch but I get a blue circle briefly before it closes. I have deleted the app, deleted the HP Smart library folders, run the Mac disk utility and reinstalled the app several times but none of these options resolves the issue

Hello. I have exactly the same problem described By Staffan. HP Laserjt Pro M15a not running on Mac Book Air with OS Big Sur.
I have tried also on my iMac with OSX 10.9.5 and have the same result, no print.

officejetpro 6970 won't install
This printer used to work, but won't wireless print anymore. It is connected to the internet and my Windows 10 laptop and shows it is updated. I've removed the printer and drivers several times with no luck. I have downloaded and installed all current drivers and firmware several times. I don't have a VPN. I've turned off Windows Defender firewall. I've run HP Smart, HP Easy Start and HP Print and Scan Doctor several times. I've changed ports. I'm not sure what else to do.
I've tried everything on the HP website and the HP Virtual Agent to try to fix the problem.

Setup Cartridge bypass for 5255

I can only print photos on 8.5 x 11 paper. Even if I load 4 x 6 paper and select that size

I have an MFP M227fdw that giving us a "Ready 2 Download - fw is corrup
I have an MFP M227fdw that's giving us a "Ready 2 Download - fw is corrupt" message.
I tried instructions found on other posts in this forum to unplug, remove toner, leave for a few minutes, press the power button to drain residual power, then plug it back in. Still getting the same message. A support person in the other posts offered to privately send hard reset instructions so I'm assuming that's what I need at this point. We really want the machine back up and running, hopefully reliably

Can not select Tray 2 HP7740
I have just installed an OfficeJet Pro 7740 but I can not select Tray 2 when printing from my laptop.
The tray is configured correctly with A4 paper for invoices. I can copy a document and select to print from Tray 2 but from my printing preferences I can only select Tray 1. There is an option of 'Photo Tray' but that it has a small yellow triangle with ! suggesting it is not setup correctly.
How can I setup Tray 2 to print from my laptop?

I live in the UK and my printer is currently set to accept US ink (61) after I had the region changed by customer support a year or so ago as I had mistakenly bought US ink. Can you please help me to reset the software so it will accept UK region coded ink (301)?

I've stopped using HP printers: the driver software is that useless
I give up: I replaced the HP printer with an Epson printer. Epson printer setup was flawless and the printer was up-and-running in 5 minutes. I can say I don't ENVY the current users of this or any other SOHO HP printer. Not very surprising: no one in my family has an interest in taking over this HP printer.
Question for HP remains: why I should create and use an HP cloud account to print or scan something on my printer that's sitting right next to me?
But, it doesn't matter: HP gave me the final push to stop using HP printers

The HP software for Officejet 6500A is not yet compatible with Big Sur 11.3.1 on which my MacBook runs. Apple say the HP software is only 32 bit and Big Sur is 64 Bit. How do I resolve this or do I have to wait until HP update their software. HP helplines seem to be unavailable at the moment for me.

A Custom Password has been set up for your printer
Like a lot of people on here, I cannot fully set up my printer because I keep getting a message saying that 'a custom password has been set up for your printer' when I have never done such a thing. When I get to my account a lot of facilities are locked out to me because I cannot summon this 'custom password'. I read that a factory re-set has to be performed but there are no instructions anywhere to do this! All I want is to use my printer and I have wasted HOURS already. Why was a printer shipped with a password already assigned and things locked out? Why is this so painful to set up. Whatever happened to plug and play? Can someone at HP get in touch with me to remedy this!!??? VERY frustrated and VERY angry at the lack of service, customer care and just plain simple stuff! Help, anyone???

printer only prints in greyscale from my desktop but but will print in colour from other devices
My printer will only print in greyscale form my desktop but prints remotely in colour from other devices such as my mobile,
I cannot find anywhere to change the print settings ,
Have gone into printer properties , advanced , colour management etc but nowhere allows me to change the print prefernce
Have tried the virtual assistant and got nowhere
