Printer suddenly won't print, drivers won't install
This week suddenly could no longer print from my computer. My daughter & husband have no problem printing over the network. I verified I am connected to the right network.
Device Manager shows 2 "Unknown Devices" under Printers, and the Officejet 6700 shows up under Other Devices, and it says
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
I tried to download drivers, but when the driver installer finishes, I can't find any new drivers. I see drivers for this device dated 2012 on my computer, but when I point the Device Manager to those directories, it stills says it can't find any drivers.
I noticed that my daughter & husband are printing to a device called "HP416DCD (Officejet 6700)," but my computer has always printed to "HP Officjet 6700 (Network)" The HP Print & Scan Doctor show both are installed but cannot detect either of them.
On Devices and Printers I see:
HP Officjet 6700 (Network) State: Default Status: Not Connected
HP416DCD (Officejet 6700) State: Network Connected Status offline
HP Officejet 6700 Class Driver State: Shared Status offline
Just to see what would happen, I tried to install a new printer and it can't find any on the network.
I am completely baffled on why this stopped working, and how to get it going again. And shoulld I be printing HP416DCD?
Appreciate any help I can get!

HP 2050 Deskjet single cartridge mode
I've used this printer for years with no color cartrige. Now suddenly when I finally get a new black cartridge inserted, it won't print. It comes up with the tricolor cartridge is missing and only gives me the option to to cancel the print or go buy a color cartridge. I've not had to deal with this before. It is not over riding the missing cartridge automatically and going to single cartridge mode. Getting ticked off. HELP!

Printer driver installs as sosmething else
The printer works on another computer but when I went to the HP website to find the driver for this computer it directed me to this file: DJ4640_188.exe. I downloaded it and ran it. After installing it showed up in the Control Panel as the Officejet 8600. Unsurprisingly, it did not work.

Failed install of HP Photosmart c4385 driver
We replaced our WIFI modem, so my printer's settings needed to be changed to point to the new SSID and Wep key. I couldn't figure out any other way to change the settings, so, I de-installed the printer and then attempted to reinstall it using the driver provided on the HP Support Website. The install goes into an infinite loop - continuously asks me whether I want to connect via USB or Wifi network, then tries to configure and then loops back around and never finishes. I do have a USB cable, and I connected it whenever asked. It never told me to disconnect it. I have attempted to de-install and re-install at least 3 times today - all with the same results. What can I do to fix this?

No Print - Immediate "Deleting - Print" Status
I have a custome built PC which has served me well over a long period. It has MS Vista Ultimate (not everyone likes it howeverr its been very stable) and I have a HP 7500A E910A MFD. It recently started ADHOC not printing and when I check the print status as I send a print job to que, the job is appearing with status already showing DELETING - PRINTING, then job disappears, and nothing prints. This will occur multiple times on multiple documents then suddening it will start printing again, may only last printing one to a few prints then just as sudddenly it will stop printing again and status starts immediatley reverting to DELETING - PRINTING again.
I have uninstalled the printer drivers and resinstalled them several times from both the HP disc that came with MFD and also from the HP web site to ensure I had latest version of driver. Nothing seems to work. It stops an starts printing at its whim. Any suggestions ?

Happy Sunday! I purchased the HP Deskjet 3700 All-In-One Series. This came with the Office Printing Essentials 3, however, the web activiation code sticker is missing from the information card. HP drivers website doesn't have the option to download the driver software for HP deskjet printer 9670.
My OS is Windows 10 64-bit. I tried to use 9800 series driver but doesn't work.

Running HP Support Assistant on Wine (Linux Mint)
Recently, the Win10 "Anniversary Release" effectively bricked my lovely HP computer, which is my daily workhorse, and with quad Core-i5-2500 and 16 GB RAM as well as a nearly new WD Black Label 1TB driver, it is all I need to run my business...
So, after 3 months of mounting, and wasted tech support efforts, I finally found some support on the AMD website (on account of my AMD HD 5450 graphics card) that indeed their Win 10 drivers (which are listed as beta versions only) have not worked for anybody since the Anniversary Release.
I gave up the fight, an upgraded my computer to Linux Mint 18.1 Serena. My problems are over, except for a bit of software that is still stuck in the Windows era, one being the HP Support Assistant.
When I attempted to run HP Support Assistant in Wine, it stubbornly tells me that I need to be logged in as an administrator in order to run it, and there seems to be no way around that. Please advise what to do.
By way of general information, in 2016 I have converted all my extended family's computers to Linux Mint, as they all had problems with Win 10. My personal business workstation was just the last Win10 computer around, and it worked OK until this "anniversary release." So, after 25 years of routinely recycling older computers with Linux, finally I don't have a single Windows computer left, just android and linux.

I'm a newbie - be gentle, please...
I have a problem pinting wirelessly from an HP Pavillion laptop. Print jobs appear in the printer queue on the laptop but do not print for around 15-20 mins. I've tried placing the laptop next to the printer, so its nt a distance issue. Going into Services / Print Spooler andthen pressing Stop and Start clears the problem, but has to be done for every print job so something is wrong.
Any ideas, please?

Ink Cartridge Trouble
I am enrolled in the HP Instant Ink program. I have been happy with it until recently. My printer will not print anything because the black ink cartridge says there is an error with how it is installed. When I check the supply levels from my computer and the printer panel, it says that the black ink cartridge is empty. However, my instant ink account says that the black ink cartridge is properly installed. It does not indicate that the level is even low. They have not shipped a black ink cartridge to my door since August. I simply want to know how I can have it shipped to me.
I have taken out the ink cartridge, reinstalled it, cleaned it, restarted my printer, everything that all of the other help forums have told me to do in case my ink cartridge really does have ink and there is a communication error. This has been beyond difficult just to get the ink I was promised when I signed up for this program.
