Moved to a newer Windows 7 PC but it does not have 890C drivers installed. I have no I idea where I've put the installation disc after a house move. Alas, discovered on HP site that no drivers for the 890C are available for Windows 7 just 8.
Assuming (here I need help) that the 890C can be made to work with Windows 7 (mine is 32 bit I believe), this PC still doesn't have the old parallel connector, only USB ports. I looked at theonly two parallel to USB adapters in the local store but all stated they were only for 95, 98, ME and XP OS machines. Before looking for one that will adapt the 890C to a USB port on my Windows 7 PC (assuming they are available), will the 890C play with Windows 7 and what is the recommended process for getting there?
Just hate to deep six a perfectly great printer.
