Very frustrating. Until recently, I had no response from buttons on touch screen contol panel for years. Ergo, no way to copy, and scanning had to be done via computer inputs not printer. I had already unloaded and reloaded the driver serveral times, so that does not appear to be the cause. Suddenly, a few weeks back, panel came alive. But only in part. In event of having to press OK button for any reason to get back to regular panel. the OK button did not work. Ergo, the off button would not turn the printer off, and when I would unplug it and restart it, a message appeared saying not to do that. But that message required pressing OK button to get to normal screen. But OK button does not work. So printer became unusable for anything but scanning, which could be done via computer inputs. Now, the whole control panel has gone dead again. It lights up, but the touch screen does not respond to any inputs. And there does not seem to be any override via computer keyboard inputs. I had thought it was a drvier problem, but reloading driver has not helped. It came alive a few weeks back after I repositioned it, so it may be an internal physical connection issue, at least in part. But I have no idea how to access the internal physical connections to check them, and the user manual does not give any information about how to check internal connections. Prining, copying, and scanning (I have not tried fax) work perfectly when they can be accessed via control panel control, but with the control panel buttons not operating, the printer's functioning is compromised at best - no copying, no fax (I assume), scanning only via computer keyboard input, noaccess to to apps, and difficulty dealing with any visual messages on panel when printing because of the OK button not working and denying access to regular buttons. Now with panel dead, I have only limited functioning, and with the OK button out, the machine can be rendered completely non-functional. Please advise.
