every time I click on hp print and scan doctor icon on desktop to open it up. I get that message that it is already running? But where do I go find it to use it???

Printing multiple pages from desk computer of Office Jet wireless 6978
Recently replaced one HP 6978 with a new one--same model. One-page print is fine. Multiple page printing from desk computer malfunctions. Print cuts off at bottom of page before completion, with partial print on next page, & repeats this on multiple pages. Also, blank pages are issued between printed pages, sometimes with page numbers showing, but nothing else; and ejection of pages from printer seems to be accelerated.

HP Envy 5540 Won't Print in Color since install of Photoshop
I have an HP Envy 5540 and have never had any issues printing in color. In the last few days I installed adobe photoshop and when trying to print from it or any other program now, it won't print in color. When I go into the printer preferences color is not an option either. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver but the color options do not appear and I only get black and white. This is now affecting my other programs too in Word, Paint Shop Pro, etc. none of them in printer properties have the option to select color. I've also attached the message I received in Photoshop.
A final note, I did add the HP EPrint Jet Advantage and that does print in color but don't want it setup that way. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

6520 series printer stopped working after Windows 10 update
After the Windows 10 update, my HP Photosmart 6520 series printer stopped working. I removed the printer and went to removed all drivers but I couldn't because a popup said that the device was in use. I had already removed the device, how could it be "in use"?! I need to fix this dilemma and get this printer working so I can continue my school work. PLEASE help me remove these drivers so I can try to install new ones! How do I get my computer to realize that the printer isn't in use?

Printer printing symbols
Hi,

HP Deskjet will not print. Immediately Deletes once it gets to the que.
No matter what i do, I can no longer print directly to any HP printers from my laptop. I can print to other printers such as Epson, Canon. I can get my printer to scan when told to by my desktop. I can print diagnostic pages or other internal pages, but if I try to print any document, it gets sent to the print que.....then you see it start self-deleting, and then completely disappears. I have 2 different HP deskjet printers and they both behave the same way and they began having the exact same problem at the exact same time.
There are many other threads I found discussing the same potential issue, and I have followed every single recommended process of removing every detail about my HP printers and the drivers etc. and then re-installing either full packager or basic driver sets, and no matter what I do or how I do it, it still does the exact same thing.....NO PRINT.
I try it as a wireless printer, I try it through the USB cable.....it just will not print from my laptop. I can connect to either printer from my phone or ipad and print directly from them with no problems. So, whatever the issue is, its related to my laptop or the drivers that I am able to use.
I do not have an install disk, so I am at the mercy of downloading drivers directly from online which may somehow be part of the problem.
Again, I have tried everything found on any forum that even remotely talked about the kind of issue I am having, and I tried it multiple times....like 20+ times easily over the last few months. I dont want to buy new printers and I am determined to figure this out, but I need someone with an idea that has not been discussed.
Please send some help my way if anyone has an idea or solution.

WIndows 10 can't find printer
I have a local printer connected by USB. There is no internet access on the laptop. I tried to install drivers by links in the Support. installation is successful and offers to connect a printer for Plug & Play installation. When connected, a system sound is heard about connecting the USB-device, but the device is not created.

Wireless Printing
It appears that my HP Printer has changed its IP address (is this even possible?). So, although I cant print to what was my 'original' 'default' printer, a second HP Printer has appeared on my available printer list, its called HP ENVY 4520 (Network), which will let me print. However, I have a few important documents in the queue for the 'original' printer. I've tried to update/change the IP address and while it says this is successful, it wont 'save' the new setting. Hope this makes some sense. I'm not a techie!

I will try to explain the best way I know how. One I am not whatsoever computer, printer tech savvy.
So I have not been able to scan doc, printer etc. period these last couple of days.
The error message that comes up is, scanner communication cannot be established. Ensure your product is powered on, check connection etc.
We ran a diagnostic today and it said the drivers check.
What's my next step.

Why do I have to uninstall/reinstall my printer after nearly every windows update?
This is the only printer we are having issues with at nearly every monthly Window updates. When trying to print, It defaults to 8-1/2x11 paper size even though it is a wide format 11x17 installed. Click on "Properties" and nothing happens. The printer shows up twice in Scan Doctor, once "installed" and another "Not Installed". Only way to fix is to completely remove the printer and re-install. This is getting really ridiculous having to do this every month at a time when I'm trying to print out douments needed.

HP Smart won't find my printer
I am trying to connect a printer to my HP Smart app so that I can scan files. I have used this printer to print many times, so it is recognized as a device on my computer. The app will not recognize/find the printer, even though I am on the correct wifi network and others in the office connect to the same printer on the hp smart app. It automatically connected to another printer that we have, however this printer cannot scan files.
I have tried finding the printer on both wifi networks, reinstalling the hp smart app, and following the instructions for setting up a printer and finding a new printer.
Am I missing a simple error when trying to add a printer to the app?

Envy 7640 prints to other printer
My HP Envy 7640 and HP 5660 are on the same internet connection. All 7640 print jobs are going to the 5660 instead of printing on the 7640. How can I get the 7640 to print? Thanks.
