I'm trying to print from an Avery Template that has given me a PDF file for a 4.25 x 11 inch Avery 74520 Label. The Prin ter Software does not have a setting for that size paper and apparently, Windows doesn't support Custom Sizes. Is there a workaround?

Paper tray came all the way out. Big ears on metal spring loaded tray extend out too far. How to get it back in. Tray up or down? Force it past too narrow opening? Thanks, jeff

Printer disapppeared after extended wait time.
I purchased an Envy 5055 after my Envy 5660 started having serious connectivity issues. The printer would disappear from the available printers on all my computers. I used this machine for 3 years with no issues, until about 1 year ago. So off to buy a new machine, the 5055. It worked great, for 3 months. Then if it was more than a couple of hours since I last printed, it would disappear as well. I set a static IP .200. I had been using the AT&T router, so I switched to the Netgear N6400 that I had used for the 3 years and that didn't help. One site said to not have it too close, so I moved it to the opposite side of the room. HP says to use the HP Print and Scan Doctor. Well, it can't find the printer either. You see, the router says the printer is connected on .200, the wifi light is steady blue on the printer and a wireless printout says the printer is connected on .200. However, my phones HP print app can't see it, the Windows 10 computer says it is offline and the Doctor software says that no printers were detected. The Linux CUPS server says the printer is offline on the computer that has it setup as default, the laptop doesn't find any available printers on the network. The MacOS machine is lost as a goose in the fog. The ONLY way to get this backup up is to reboot the printer AND the router for EVERY print I need make. This is COMPLETELY unacceptable. My wife has resorted to turning off the printer between print jobs and waiting for it to restart if she needs to print, but sometimes it gets left on and rebooting the printer doesn't work. She isn't comfortable rebooting the network router yet. Is there anything that can keep this machine alive to do I need to switch to a wired printer?

Scan-Program doesn't work on Win10 like on Win7
Hello.
A customer uses a HP LJ CM1410fn and recently got a new PC with Windows10 64bit. For Scanning he uses the HP-Scan-program that comes with installing the full driver package. The printer is connected via network-cable.
Now since he's on windows 10 the program won't let him scan if he uses the scanner feed after the first time. Only scanning from the flatbed works.
For example: Scan from scanner feed - works the first time but if you want to add a 2nd. page you get an error message saying that the scanner feed is empty. (see screenshot)
-When scannning from the scanner flatbed first it always only scans from the flatbed and doesn't recognize papers in the feed.
- Other scanning programs (like windows internal fax- & scan) where you can choose where to scan from work fine, but the customer wants to keep using the hp-scan program if possible
When plugging in the older Win7 PC everything works fine and the scan-program automatically detects if there is something in the scanner feed or not and scans accordingly. So there is no hardware failure.
When looking at the HP-Scan program it seems that it hasn't been updated since 2010, since the size and creation date are exactly the same as on the old win7 pc.
Things I tried without success:
- Uninstalling and re-installing the whole driver package and printer
- Firmware updating the printer
- Changing the connection of the printer in the printmanagement to the IP-adress
- installing the printer with the HP Universal PCL6 driver
- copying and trying the HP-Scan software from the windows 7 pc
- starting the HP-Scan as administrator
- starting the HP-Scan in compatibility-mode for windows 7
Please help. What else can I do?

HP Officejet 6950 driver software installation failure
My Officejet 6950 was working just fine on my Windows 10 PC until this morning.
I went to see in the control panel to uninstall the software, but for some reason, the software was not there anymore.
So I went to the HP website and downloaded the latest version of the software for this printer:
- OJ6950__Full_WebPack_1094.exe
- OJ6950__Basicx64_1094.exe
I tried both the full and basic version, and I always get the following message during installation:
Installation Failed
details:
"Installation Error"
Error -2147467259: No driver module to be treated was found" (Transaleted from French, might not be exactly similair in English)
Before each installation tries, I did the following:
- reboot the PC
- unplugged the printer
- turned off the printer
- checked the printer spooler was running correctly (stopped it and restarted it)
- disabled the Anti-virus
- Disabled any software starting up with windows
Nothing is working, I always get this error message.

HP Smart crashes on startup in MAC OS 10.14.5
So I found the following steps :
1.) Open Finder and click Applications
2.) Move HP Smart App to Trash and clear the Trash.
3.) Open Finder then click Go and Click Home.
4.) Click View then Click Show View Options. Check the box Show Library Folder.
The change is instantaneous and the Library folder will immediately becomes visible.
5.) Open Library and Open Application Support, move HP Smart folder to Trash and clear the Trash
6.) Download and install HP Smart App from mac app store
which are not up to date because you have to go delete in the Library folder, there is a sub Folder called Containers and then delete the folder called "com.hp.SmartMac". I also have to reset my printers parameters. And then HP Smart works after configuration of the printer ONCE.
When i quit it, it crashes again on startup.
I'm sure there is something more we can do so that i don't have to do this everytime, I thought i bought a product to make my life easier not harder.

Driver check issue not fixed
I have tried several times to sort out the matter with my HP DJ 3700 series PCL 3 that constantly goes off line. I followed the instructions from The _ Fosette related to Printer driver unavailable and still the problem persist. I reinstall the printer and the error continues saying that : Driver check issue not fixed.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

HP ENVY 5020 Printer not working windows 10 or mobile
Hi everybody
I am at my wits end with this to say the least. I have had the printer for a week and it has worked for one day otherwise it has not.
The HP app has never recognised my printer automatically (the devices are close there are no interferes in between them)
I have tried installing the printer manually (through add device) and after dozens of attempts yesterday it worked and I printed fine, however, i come back today and printer is showing offline again.
I have followed all the advice to take the printer from offline but nothing was applicable.Today I have reinstalled the app numerous times no joy have tried manually installing and this time the device is found but upon installing the message "driver not installed" is present (which did not happen yesterday) I again tried having deleted all traces of the printer again no joy.
I then though as a last resort I would print from my mobile, the app installed fine found the printer fine (unlike my laptop) and I thought ok a temp solution is found, however when I print from the app it just gets stuck and the message "hp print service your print is being processed" just sits on my phone and my printer does nothing.
I am starting to think this a faulty machine really could do with printing asap

out of paper error
First had a spooler error when I would try to print. That issue resolved. Now I am having an out of paper error. I cleaned all the rollers with water as directed. Reset the printer several times and I am still getting this error. Any suggestions? It is a driver or firmware update issue?

Unsuccessful Network Installation
Hi,
I have a new Windows 10 machine and I am trying to install the ""HP Office Jet Pro X476dw MFP Full Software Solution" for my HP Office Jet Pro X476dw which is available here:
The installer runs for a couple of minutes and then I see the "Unsuccessful Network Installation The printer was unable to be installed over the network" message in the installer window. Note that other Windows 10 machines on my home network are able to print to the printer, so, the printer is properly connected to the network.
I have also tried all of the instructions on this page:

The instructions include the following steps:
- Restart the computer, printer, and router
- Uninstall the HP driver and software
- Repair system files (run sfc /scannow from Windows 10 command prompt)
- Use the Microsoft Fixit Solution
- Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
I have run all of these steps and there are no issues other than the "Unsuccessful Network Installation" message from the installer.

After running hp troubleshooter that comes with driver software & trying everything under the sun I was still unable to print. I downloaded hp print scan doctor & ran it, the problem was solved instantly,
