HP Update installations failed

Hi,

I am using HP Update to download needed critical updates for my printer. But recently, my sys admin at work placed restricitions on how programmes can be run on our systems. I need to locate the actual exe file downloaded, right click on it and install it using a specific protocol - it won't work through the HP Update window.

 

How can I find the downloaded update files? If I can find them, I can then install them manually.

Unable to print from external sources on 8600 plus

I recently have been unable to print my E-Mails or anything from a web site. I have uninstalled the software and downloaded and reinstalled the current software from the HP site. I have done the same with the drivers.  This was done at the suggestion of the Print and Scan Doctor after it had determined that the printer was running correctly.  All other functions appear to be working correctly including printing from internal sites such as Excel. The printer is wireless.

Already got some assistanced with this, but the solution is incomplete. After istalling OS 10.10 (Yosemite), some functions of the print drivers were not working correctly Got workaround from HP which involved using an older driver. That fixes some problems, but functionality is sometines dicey.  Was told team is working on new firmware and/or drivers for Yosemite. Any progress on that?

Help.  Trying for 3 hours.  Cant get Full Feature Software to install.  Tried Download and Install Assistant.  HP Solution Center will not install.  Wife unhappy that Scanner will not go where she wants.

I have an HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One C410a printer on a wireless home network. I am running Windows 7 on a laptop computer. This afternoon after installing Corel PDF Fusion, when I tried to open HP Solution Center, I gotr the following message "HP Solution Senter cannot open because youe device installation is not complete". It wnet on to suggest that the USB cable was not installed (it was not - I am on a wireless network) and that I could finish the installation by installling the set up disc and running set up. I did that but it acknowledged that the instalation was complete and that I could install additional software, none of which helped me.

 

When I looked at the printers through Devices and Printers, the C410a was no longer the default printer (it had been) and Corel PDF Fusion was listed as a printer.

 

I can print. I can scan from Internet Explorer. I can see ink levels etc from IE but I cannot get through to Solution Center which is where I wish to scan from.

 

I uninstalled The Corel PDF Fusion. Still no Sol. Ctr. I rebooted the computer and still get the same error message.

 

How do I get Solution Center to run again?

officejet pro 8610 driver for Asus tablet

We have an Asus Memo Pad HD 7 and have purchased an Hp officejet pro for wireless printing.  The asus tablet does not appear to have print drivers, and their customer service folks suggested that we contact Hp to see if such drivers exist for this tablet/printer combination.  Thank you.

Can't install driver on 32bit

I have tried many websites, inculding HPs to install the driver for my printer. (my computer had avirus and we had to reformat it) I get to the point of downoad to wher ethe HP installer comes on screen to start its process.... goes to the point of applying updates, then just disappears off the screen. I have reinstalled, uninstalled, firewall on and off, antivirus turned off and uninstalled ... everything I can think of to get this driver to install on my computer, all to no avail. HELP PLEASE!!!!

Printer Repeatedly Nonresponsive

My printer is unresponsive. When I select Print, the dialogue box appears, but I cannot access "Properties" to change the print quality, for instance. When I click okay on print, a process bar appears at the bottom, counts down the pages of the document then disappears.

 

I have tried uninstalling the printer, reinstalling the driver software, re-starting the Print spooler, troubleshooting the device, and nothing works. Once or twice, it has miraculously worked and printed, but as soon as I unplug the USB to take my laptop out for the day, it won't work when I plug back into the USB. 

 

This is incredibly frustrating as I'm finishing my doctoral dissertation, so I have to print hundreds of pages, and don't have money for a new printer. Can someone offer advice?

Unable to Scan and unable to print double-sided (duplex) documents

Please help - I am not able to scan or do duplex/double-sided printing from my new laptop which uses Windows 8.  My old computer us Windows XP.

This printer is no longer dependable ,the printer always reverts back to OFFLINE when I'm off the computer or in the sleep mode, therefore I would have to unistall and install the drvier for printing   .


scanner doesnt communicate with my laptop

i downloaded and installed the hp software and drivers for my new hp photosmart 6510 al in one. the all in one is coonected to the wifi network and so is my laptop. both are connected to the same network.

 

anytime i try to scan i am not able to communicate with the scanner.

 

the print and scan doctor utility shows driver error that the scan driver is unale to communicate with the product. i am unable to fix this. what can i do to fix this problem?

Can you help, please?

 

The page prints for the first two thirds of the text then an error message apprears on the computer stating it is unable to print the document.

 

I have run throught the HP Install Wizard and then through the HP Scan Docotr. 

 

I am now stuck as the Scan Doctor shows that there is a driver conflict deteced and having restarted the computer it is still registering.  The Scan Doctor had suggested I approach HP Customer Care.  I ran through a driver download.  Again no success.

 

How can I find out where the driver issue is and how to fix it and the printing?

Please someone save me from the countless head bashings I am giving myself trying to solve this problem - that really should be no problem at all!

 

I cannot get this printer to print directly onto a Cd/DVD.  I have just changed computers and remember it being a complete pain in the arse trying to get it to work - but unfortunately - 6 hours of trying am still not able to do it!

 

I simply would like to be able to select my jpeg image - (which is my logo & clients name) - click print, select cd/dvd & have it print.  What am I forgetting to do???

HP Scan3 Can't find Scanner

I have had this problem with HP Scan3 for a long time.  Basically, I put something on the scanner and hit "Scan..." from the HP Scan3 window.  It allows me to choose my scan resolution (B&W, 300dpi).  The scanner responds with "Scanner reported an error.  HP Officejet Pro 8620 is currently unavailable. Please check if it is turned on and connected, or try again later."  The scanner is definitely online.  Another person from my office can scan from it using her Windows 8 PC.  I also can bring up the HP utility and view the network address, ink levels, etc.  I can print to it.  If I reboot the Printer/Scanner it fixes the problem, but I don't want to do that all the time.   The printer is in a different room and used by lots of other people.  HP Scan3 version is 4.4.0 (15).  I have had this issue with my older HP Printer and an older version of HP Scan3, but that was at home where rebooting wasnt so bad. 

 

Any advanced settings that I can change to fix this?
