Recently discovered the latest Windows 10 M479 driver full install package (March 2021) is missing 6 files in the x86 directory. Installation fails because of this. I was able to recover by downloading the basic M479 driver set and copying the x86 directory and adding it to the full installation package x86 directory. Pretty amazing that this got through HP’s QA.

How do I override the WiFi and print only with USB cable?
I am temporarily living with a Satellite internet connection, and cannot connect the printer to it since for an unknown reason I am locked out of making any change. Well, no problem, USB cable, right? Wrong! Because those settings are locked on the printer screen, my cable connection does nothing.
How do I override the useless WiFi and print with the cable? I'm in a real bind here. Thanks anyone.

have HP injet 3510, windows 10 Printer out of ink too fast, no draft,fast mode in my preference
Just put in new ink - use 61Xl, in my HP 3510 inkjet printer. Printed app 100 pages, then out of ink. Looked under printer preferences for draft or fast mode, not in my windows 10 Please any advice helpful

Installing an all-in-one HP printer on Linux mint
I'm very confused and how to install an all-in-one HP printer on Linux mint-I never did it before. I understand I can use hp LIP. How complicated is this because I'm not very knowledgeable with my computer using Linux. The linking of relative information on the internet doesn't really correlate effectively for me to understand the total solution. Any thoughts?

Can't get the HP All-in-One printer drivers to install
Hi, so I own a HP Photosmart c7180 All-in-One printer. I downloaded the 'AIO_CDA_FSW_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe' driver executable package from the HP website. As far as I know this is the correct program to install so that my computer will detect the printer. This is the one that worked for my other two computers, at least.
I'm operating on Windows 7 Pro 64bit. I can provide other system details if need be. It should be noted I'm using a UEFI Motherboard (Asus z170 PRO Gaming M/B) and Windows is installed on a GPT partition table SSD (Samsung Evo 850 250gb).
Anyway, every time I run this .exe to try and install the software I run into two errors which I can't seem to figure out a workaround for.

M404dn manual duplex only?
Hello all, thank you for the help.
I just go my M404dn and everything works amazingly, except for the thing I want the most :).
When I attempt to print in the preferences I see:
Print on both sides (manually). And then I have a choice of no, flip up or flip over.
At the top of the print options I see: Manual Duplex Instructions where is shows me how to flip over the 1st print into Tray 1 to get my duplex printing.
Did I misunderstand and order the wrong printer? I thought this one did automatic duplex....?
If yes, what am I doing wrong please....

Resetting admin password for printer
Hi,
i want to add a new wifi connection and hp smart app is throwing this "a custom password has been set for your printer" message and not allowing any changes.
I don't remember setting this up, anyway need assistance to remove this or reset my printer.
Old posts mention some unique way to reset the printer, looking for link for the same.

Officejet Pro 9020 Power Up Oddity
I have recently replaced my old HP8600 with a newer HP9020. I have an odd issue with the new 9020. At the end of each day, when the the computer systems are all powered off, this includes the printer. When next the power (PowerPoint switch) is restored to the printer, it turns itself on, without use of the power on/off button. This is very annoying, as even if the printer is not to be used at all, it still turns on, goes through its startup routine, and then needs turning off straight away again, going through its power down routine. I am concerned that is endless cycling of the printer on and off, for no reason, will have an effect of the life of the printer.
Surely there must be a setting I haven’t found to cause the printer to only turn on, when the power ON button is pressed! The old 8600 did not do this. When the PowerPoint was turned on, the printer stayed Off, until the power button was pressed.
TIA for any info that you can provide to help stop this!

LaserJet Pro MFP M125nw stopped printing from my laptop
After several years of problem-free use of my LaserJet Pro MFP M125nw, I have been unable to print from my laptop (Asus running Windows 10) since around 25 May 2021. When I send print jobs to the device, the printer appears in the status tray, but indicates "0 documents pending". On the other hand, the device accepts scan commands from my computer without a problem.
Because other computers on the same network have no trouble printing on the device, I have uninstalled and re-installed the device drivers multiple times, but the problem continues. HP Smart indicates that the device is installed but offline.

2375 USB printer not being found on app!!
I just Downloaded Big Sur 11.4. Th printer shows up on my computer however, every time I download the software (HP Smart) it can not find the printer which is connected via USB, therefore I can not get the software to get my printer running. I've tried it all locating the software. Please help.

New Driver "HP Smart" Cannot Detect My HP DeskJet 2132 All-in-one Printer
Hi All,
No luck with the telephone hotline so I'm trying to get some help here. I have an HP DeskJet 2132 All-in-one Printer, connected to my Mac running macOS 11 (Big Sur). I have been recently prompted to update my printer's driver through HP's official website. I then installed the "HP Easy Start" application which can easily detect my HP printer via a USB cable. However, that application then prompted me to install "HP Smart", apparently the latest driver, from App Store. The installation was smooth, however the "HP Smart" application cannot detect my printer at all, no matter how many times I try. I have also tried re-starting my computer, re-plugging the USB cable on both ends. It just doesn't help. Please can anyone help?

Need to use printer offline
I need to use my Deskjet 2633 offline. The local internet continually drops out so I cannot use my printer with all features.
I can print offline via USB, but I cannot use the scan option in HP Smart, any ideas to to work around this problem, as I was unaware when I bought it it needed to be online!

HP smart tells me to Finish Setup
I've had this printer since the beginning of May. I went through the setup and it seemed to work OK. 7 days later I received my Instant Ink cartridges via a tracked delivery with Royal Mail. Within minutes of the postman leaving, instead of HP smart showing all was well it told me to Finish Setup. I click the 'Finish Setup' button and I'm taken to the initial setup routine where I'm expected to insert ink cartridges. The initially supplied ink cartridges ARE installed already and I am warned against replacing them until the ink has run out. The printer prints, it scans, I can send it an email and it receives and prints it. So why am I told to Finish Setup? Might it be on account of me NOT having set it up to print from a smart phone or tablet? I don't need to print from either of these things, I only need to print from my PC. I'm not sure how long my initial ink will last but I'm concerened that when I install the Instant Ink cartridges the printer may not work properly. I realise that HP would have been notified the cartridges had been delivered and I cannot help but suspect that at that time my printer was accessed by HP resulting in this worrying 'Finish Setup' message. I did try phoning support but I am old (84) and quite deaf, I don't think I was successful in getting the chap to understand my problem. He told me he would send an email but the content didn't bear any relationship to my problem which I thought I had explained.

HP Laserjet Pro MFP M281fdw - Stopped printing
Hi,
I have been printing fine from the printer until about 2 days ago. Suddenly the computer cannot find the printer. I used the HP Print and Scan Dr. and the HP Smart programs/apps. Those told me to download an update from March of this year. I have done so, and now I am trying to reset my printer. My choices are: Ethernet, USB, or Wireless. I work on an Asus Desktop, and have the "square" connection plug into the printer and the "pronged screw-in" to a port on the back of my computer. It does not plug into my internet as the picture shows for ethernet, it is not a USB port connection, and certainly not wireless. I've tried both ethernet and USB setup runs and the printer is still not found.
I know there has to be some way that I am missing something in the instructions or somehow the connections have switched.
It is frustrating as I am packed and getting ready to move and know all my printed papers are somewhere in a mass of moving boxes. I've currently spent over 2 hours going to multiple sites and various apps to solve this, and have learned this printer is no longer supported.
Can anyone help please????

Cannot with any HP tools get an HP Officejet 6210 to function.
I have used all of the tools that HP seems to have and I cannot get drivers loaded on my laptop in order to get the 6210 installed. I have used HPPSdr.exe and it sees the printer via USB and then later when I try to install the printer it says cannot connect with the USB. Out of the giant list of Windows 10 printers that have drivers the 6210 is not listed. I guess I will just throw the thing away. I do not have the installation disk because the printer was given to me. I have never heard of a printer of this vintage with all of the functions it has not being compatible with Windows 10.

Mac OS 11 and an HP Photosmart Premium
I have an HP Photosmart Premium (printer, fax, scan, copy) and it worked fine with MacOS 10 but since upgrading to MacOS 11 (on an iMac). I can get it to print but I've lost the 'fast draft' option, it can't back-to-back, it can't print in colour. I've tried using the Smart App, but it's not offering me any more control than it had before I installed the app. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 won't work with Big Sur
I got a new laptop running Big Sur, and I've just spent a couple of hours reading answers here, updating firmware, uninstalling and installing, and restarting. My HP OfficeJet Pro won't print from my laptop running Big Sur.
I understand this is a known problem. Is HP planning to address this issue?
